- As with the silver bodied version this is the boobyised version of the Melvin Daddy.
- When the trout are on the daphnia in the deeps, the action of this pattern is sometimes too tempting for them and they will hit it with gusto!
- This pattern also works really well as the anchor fly when fishing the washing line during a buzzer or olive hatch as it is not as garish as other booby patterns so the fish are as likely to take it as much as the nymphs.
