  • This beautiful spent gnat trout fishing fly pattern was invented by Sam Anderson from Clabby (Co Tyrone).
  • Originally invented for Lough Erne, Co. Fermanagh where Sam fished in the 1950’s and 1960’s. It is now a firm trout fishing favourite everywhere.
  • This fishing fly has it’s best results in May June and July for trout fishing.
  • The dressing is in E.J.Malone’s “Irish Trout And Salmon Flies” along with many beautiful mayfly patterns.
  • The body on this fly is given a realistic translucency by a covering of clear plastic.
