FLY Atkin’s Spent Variant

• This trout fly is based on an old pattern supplied from Bert Atkin’s famous fishing shop in Garvagh County Antrim in the 1990’s.
• I used to buy many patterns from Bert for my fishing tackle shop in Enniskillen. It is tied with a pearly rib and has a butt of red fluorescent floss.

It is as popular today as it was back thirty years ago.
