First tied in 2018, this “Black Artic Fox Spent” trout fishing pattern was given to me recently by De is Moss. It is one of his favourites for spent gnat trout fishing everywhere from Ireland’s Lough Derg to Lough Sheelin. The soft wing and flat hackle style make it lie low in the surface film and it is easily taken under by trout. This fly really is a must for the serious Gnat Fisherman.
