FLY Sooty Hopper Booby (Orange)

The “Sooty Hopper Booby (Orange)” trout fly incorporates my sooty hopper with orange booby eyes.

Boobies have become very popular on Irish Loughs, fished for wild brown trout over the past couple of seasons. You can fish them on the top dropper making a wake or on the point which will keep the other flies on your cast higher in the water.

This is a superbly tied example of a hopper with dabbler style wing and booby eyes.
