FLY Vincy’s Gnat
I named this pattern after Vincy Mc Mahon from Fivemiletown in Co. Tyrone who fished Lough Sheelin in the “Good Old Days” of the 1960’s and also his home lough, Lough Erne. His favourite time was “fishing the gnat” in the evening.
When I had just started flytying in the late 1970’s Vincy was a regular caller at my fly tying ”Hut” where I tied him many “specials”
I have named this new pattern after him. I hope he would have approved.
