- This is one of my older mayfly inventions.
- Like most Muddler patterns it is designed to be fished dibbled in the surface film to create a wake / an illusion of the hatching or struggling fly.
- It is still an extremely popular pattern at mayfly time. Generally fished on the top dropper.
- Wet Mayfly patterns are numerous and vary greatly in colour, some bearing little resemblance to the hatching natural fly.
